StopAcne Complex

The StopAcne Complex is a powerful part of StopAcne's exclusive formulation. This patent pending complex is a powerful fighter of the five main causes of acne - bacteria proliferation, 5-alpha reductase, lipase, elastase, and free radicals. 5-alpha reductase is an enzyme that is strongly affected by the rise in the hormone Testosterone. It transforms the Testosterone in to Dehydrotestosterone (DHT) which, in turn, causes the production of an abnormal amount of sebum. The activity level of 5-alpha reductase can be up to twenty times the normal level in acne stressed skin and at the same time there is a corresponding increase in the amount of P.acnes bacteria. The StopAcne Complex strongly reduces the 5- alpha reductase activity, thereby counteracting these acne causing problems. StopAcne Complex directly combats the blockage of pores by keratinisation. The increase in the P.acnes bacteria liberates a large quantity of Lipases which break down triglycerides abundant in Sebum. The peroxidation of these newly abundant free fatty acids is the real cause of inflammation. Several factors are involved, from the presence of free radicals which encourage the peroxidation mentioned above, to the localized increase in Elastase which helps break down the skin surface.
